People

A person is a real contact — someone you've qualified and expect to keep dealing with. People are deliberately separate from leads: unqualified interest stays in Leads, so the contact list you rely on never fills with noise.

Each person can belong to a company, own deals, and carry the full activity history — emails, calls, notes, tasks, and files.

Adding people#

Route	How it works
Manually	Add Person on the People page.
Import	Import accepts a spreadsheet — map your columns to fields, review what will change, then commit.
From a lead	Creating a deal from a lead links the person you name on the deal.

Email is unique per organization. Importing a file that contains an address you already hold updates that person rather than creating a duplicate — which is what makes re-importing a refreshed export safe.

What a person holds#

First and last name, email, phone, address, the company they belong to, an owner, tags, and any custom fields your organization has defined.

Long names and addresses are shortened in the table with an ellipsis; hover to see the full value, or open the record.

Importing a list#

The importer runs in three steps: upload the file, map its columns to BeigeCRM fields, and review the validation summary before anything is written. Rows that fail validation are reported with the reason, so you can fix the file and re-run rather than hunting for what didn't land.

Bulk actions#

Select several people to delete them or assign tags in bulk. Tag assignment adds and removes in a single pass, so you can retag a segment without clearing it first.

Companies#

Setting a person's company links the two records. From then on the company page lists that person, and their deals roll up into the company's totals — see Companies.
