Getting started
BeigeCRM is one workspace for the whole sales motion — capturing interest, working it into revenue, and keeping every conversation attached to the person it belongs to. No add-ons to buy, no consultant to book.
This guide is written for the person doing the work rather than the person configuring it. Each page covers one part of the product, in the order you're likely to meet it.
How the pieces fit#
Five objects carry almost everything, and understanding how they relate makes the rest of the product obvious:
| Object | What it is |
|---|---|
| Lead | Someone who might buy. Not yet in your contact list. |
| Person | A real contact you've qualified — a lead that graduated. |
| Company | The organization a person belongs to. |
| Deal | Money you're working for, moving through pipeline stages. |
| Activity | Every call, email, note, and task attached to the above. |
The flow between them is the product in one sentence: a lead becomes a person and a company, which together carry a deal, and everything you do along the way is logged as activity.
Leads stay separate from people on purpose. Unqualified interest shouldn't pollute the contact list you actually rely on, so a lead only becomes a person the moment you decide it's real.
Your first fifteen minutes#
- Invite your team. Seats are per person, and assignment only makes sense once there's someone to assign to.
- Check your pipeline stages. Every organization starts with a default lead pipeline and a default deal pipeline. Rename them to match the language your team already uses — the product adapts to your process, not the reverse.
- Bring in your contacts. Import a spreadsheet of people, or connect a form so new leads arrive on their own.
- Connect your email. Once connected, correspondence attaches itself to the right person automatically, which is what makes the activity timeline worth reading.
- Create one deal by hand. Move it through a stage or two. Fifteen minutes here tells you more than an hour of reading.
How organizations work#
Everything you create belongs to an organization — your company's workspace. Data never crosses between organizations: separate customer lists, separate pipelines, separate settings.
If you belong to more than one, switch between them from the workspace menu at the top of the sidebar. The URL carries the organization too, so a link you paste to a colleague opens the same record in the same workspace.
Members hold one of three roles:
- Owner — full access, including billing and deletion
- Admin — full access to data and settings
- Member — day-to-day work
Where to go next#
Start with Leads if you're capturing new interest, or Deals if you're tracking revenue already in motion. Both pages assume you've done nothing else first.
If you'd rather see the shape of the whole product, Dashboard is the view your team will open every morning.
